Projektbeskrivelse
- Projektresumé

This project aims to heighten the level of key competencies needed in the Offshore Wind industry. The industry is characterized by strong technical competencies, but further development is needed within business and management.
We will do this through effective learning outcome-oriented curricula, innovative pedagogies and relevant learning platforms.
Insights show an overall need to include more digital learning support as physical interaction is limited due to busy business lifestyles and overloaded calendars. Thus, there is a need to find smart ways of maximizing learning through the right blended learning combination of digital technologies, content and teaching.
Another major trend is the personalization aspect where education can be tailor-made to suit each individual. The right combinations of Edtech, content and teaching will help make education more effective.
This is required if society is to reach the climate targets as well as the sustainable energy supply in Europe, and thus contributes to the further development of a future-oriented European industry.

- Baggrund og formål

The Offshore Wind Energy MBA contributes to the strengthening of the offshore wind energy sector, which is necessary for achieving the climate targets as well as the sustainable energy supply in Europe, and thus contributes to the further development of a future-oriented European industry.
This is the starting point for further development of the Offshore Wind Energy MBA within Erasmus +. The project is anchored within 5 pillars:

1. the development of a blended learning strategy (combination of digital technologies, content, and teaching)

2. the expansion of content and, in part, of geographical coverage to reach new target groups through specific learning content.

3. the further development of the didactic concept with the focus on exploiting the potential of online learning opportunities (tools) and related content.

4. the qualification of lecturers in the design and implementation of online teaching and blended learning (teach the teachers)

5. overall, the development of this MBA is unique in that we are pursuing the further goal of making this model known as a prototype for other universities and industries. Despite the discussion on lifelong learning, universities only marginally participated in further education opportunities. The basics of our concept will act as a prototype of an “Applied MBA”. This will be offered as a model for universities as well as industrial clusters to develop their own initiatives accordingly.

- Aktiviteter og handling
- Projektets Metode

A comprehensive range of methods (and dissemination) will be used and will vary among each of the 5 pillars, although there may be similarities between some of them.

Pillar 1: A ’Best Practise’ blended learning strategy:
· Desk research where the knowledge base is uncovered.
User studies (students, lectures, companies) in each partner country
Cross analysis of desk research and user studies from each country.

Media: Website, internet, text

Pillar 2: : Blended learning toolbox and concepts for existing and new modules:

We want to co-create (with students, lecturers and potentially Advisory Boards) the right mix of content, teaching method and platforms by applying and testing the right ‘formula’ for each module.

It will be beneficial to learn from other external educational institutions with profound experience within digital learning pedagogies and learning platforms.

Media: Internet, publications, website

Pillar 3: Updated and expanded MBA portfolio and curriculum:

Together with advisory boards in The Netherlands, Denmark and Germany, relevant additional topics are to be identified.
With current participants and future potential participants, the need and benefits of additional modules will be checked.
A further check with be done with cluster organizations on the wind industry business.
Media: Website, internet, paper brochures, video, social media

Pillar 4: Competence development programme for lecturers:

Competence Assessment: include lecturers personal assessment.

Teach-the-Teacher-sessions
Through knowledge salons & design workshops, we expect to be able to identify a strong group of lecturers that can deliver the right mix of content and teaching methods that will suit the mindset and lifestyle of the next generation of business executives within the OWI.

Media: Internet, website, database

Pillar 5: Prototype for bridging the gap between university and industry (Sector-independent concept for an Applied MBA (Prototype/blueprint))

Analysis of literature on university development, the concepts for cooperation between universities and industry, especially in international comparison and identification of best cases, success factors and risks for a successful transfer of the concept to other sectors.
